These meetings are intended for all newcomers and foreigners in the Faroes from countries outside Scandinavia and the location for these meetings is in the basement of Meinigheitshúsið in the heart of Tórshavn, i.e. the large red building next to SMS and Føroya Banki.
Figures show that quite many foreigners live in the Faroes. The general idea of initiating the community, International Fellowship, in the Faroes, was to find a place, in which people with different culture, background and language than the Faroese, could find a place to meet and talk to people in similar situation. These meetings are organized in a relaxed, informal and cosy atmosphere, in which everyone feels at ease and can talk to others in a similar situation and often with identical experiences.
If you have children, you are welcome to take them with you. Meinigheitshúsið has a distinguished playroom. In addition, it is possible to enjoy a cup of coffee and perhaps some homemade pastries for a small fee.
All International Fellowship meetings will be on the first Saturday of each month. The forthcoming meeting is thus scheduled 3.00 pm, November 3. in Meinigheitshúsið, the large red building next to SMS and Føroya Banki.
